The Board of Directors approved 5000 gallons extra water use in the 2nd quarter before overage charges begin. 30,000 gallons total allotment for April, May, and June.
April 9, 2020
There was a water main leak on the corner of GCR 5222(Bergamot) and 5223 (prairie clover court) on Tuesday. Luckily it was reported by a homeowner. We were able to isolate the damaged water line and stop flow. Approximately 40,000 gallons leaked before response. The Districts’ emergency excavator, Conroy Excavation has been contacted, and the initial assessment has been completed. Conroy Excavation and District Staff will repair the damage beginning Monday April 13th. Water service is not disrupted at this time. The drinking water is safe and secure.
The water district will contact individual owners that may be effected during repairs. If during repairs, a larger area needs to be isolated thus effecting more services, work will continue without pause until all services are restored with safe drinking water. We expect the work to take 2 days with minimal interruption to water services. There may be traffic detours but access into and out of the Lakeside area will not be shut down at any time.
This is a great opportunity to remind all residents to be vigilant and report any unordinary flows they may encounter in the community. District staff is completing sanitary sewer system cleaning and inspections. Pole Creek Valley and the Tabernash community system cleaning is going well and should be done by this Tuesday.

The District is monitoring many reliable sources of information related to the COVID-19 virus including the link in YELLOW at the top of this page. In addition to the State Health Department, we are also keeping up to date with Water and Wastewater industry associations, EPA, CDC, Grand County Government and other local area Municipalities. We are continuing to maintain and operate your Drinking Water system. The District has ample supplies in stock to continue safe and reliable Drinking Water operation through 2020 without interruption of any services. There are no reported instances of COVID-19 being transmitted through normally disinfected drinking water sources. Regardless, operations staff are paying close attention to social distancing, personal hygiene, and limiting contact with finished Drinking Water whenever possible.
The District Board of Directors has approved temporary employee safe guards to protect our most important resource, Operations Staff, so they can continue to work hard at insuring safe drinking water and sanitary sewer services! All drinking water compliance monitoring/ sampling and maintenance are being completed on-time and without exception. Your Drinking water is safe. Do not buy bottled water!
There are many reports of sewer main back-ups across the nation as people look for alternatives during the toilet paper shortage. Please DO NOT flush any alternative materials including "flush able wipes, paper towels, shop towels and linens! Sewer back-ups could expose you and response personnel to infectious disease, including COVID-19! Please use a trash can for alternate materials!

Tabernash Meadows Water and Sanitation District is a government entity which provides water and sewer services to Pole Creek Valley, Lakeside at Pole Creek Townhomes, and Coyote Creek Townhomes. The District also provides sewer service to the Old Town of Tabernash. Tabernash Meadows Water and Sanitation District is funded through mill levees, service fees, and the sale of water and sewer taps. The District is governed by a Board of Directors elected by people residing in the district.
